Avery Albrecht

I’m from a small town in Manitoba, where community and recreation have always been important to me. I recognize the value of participating in leisure activities for overall well-being. After earning a Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba and spending a year working abroad, I moved to the west coast to further my education. I completed my Bachelor of Therapeutic Recreation at Douglas College in 2024 and recently became a Certified Recreation Therapy Specialist. In my leisure time, I enjoy exploring the natural beauty of BC through hiking, skiing, or spending time at the beach. I also love exploring Vancouver’s shops and cafes and keeping up with competitive figure skating. My passion for inclusive recreation and using leisure activities to help people become their best selves drives my work as a Recreation Therapist.
