About Me
Ian holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of British Columbia. He is a registered member of both the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHBC) and Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).

Ian has extensive experience working with diverse populations, including children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as adults requiring Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) support. He has a special clinical focus on AAC, with additional interests in speech sound disorders, fluency, narrative language, and social communication. His background spans a variety of settings, including public health, private practice, schools, and AAC-specific environments such as Communication Assistance for Youth and Adults (CAYA).

Ian is passionate about creating successful, client-centered therapy through a child-led and play-based approach. He emphasizes the importance of building strong, trusting relationships with his clients, fostering an environment where they feel safe, supported, and empowered to learn.
In addition to English, Ian is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. He is committed to delivering culturally and linguistically responsive care that respects the diverse backgrounds of his clients.
