Karolina Arreola

Karolina obtained her bachelor’s degree in Human Communication/ Speech-Language Pathology from the Institute Jose David in Mexico, where her brother received therapy guidance as he was diagnosed at three years old with ASD.

 

He ignited her passion about neurorehabilitation, wanting to change the lives of many families like hers and being able to promote quality communication in every individual. She’s been in the field providing individual therapy as well as group therapy in several clinics and public sectors in Mexico with clients aged 2 years old to 70 years of age. Karolina has experience working with clients with various diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, cognitive rehabilitation in aphasia, early stimulation, as well as speech and auditory verbal therapy for the past three years.

Her therapy methodology is focused on play and learning therapy with a focus on comprehensive development.  Currently she’s doing a certificate in early childhood education in British Columbia which she started eleven months ago when she arrived in Canada as a newcomer and wanted to start working in the area as an SLP assistant. She plans to obtain a master’s in speech sciences to become fully certified as she knows the power of intervention therapy in children’s development and it is what she loves to do most.
